Dinner Time
Children can choose between school dinners or packed lunches. Your child has to be either school dinners or packed lunch everyday. To change from one to another the cook needs a week's notice please.
School dinners cost £1.87 each.
The school dinners are provided by Chartwells, cooked at Nether Green Junior School and follow a 4 week menu cycle. Menus are sent home and also on display in classrooms and in the hall.
We have a very high uptake for school dinners, well above the city average.
If your child has an allergy you must tell us prior to him or her starting school.

5. School lunches
5.1 We will serve only healthy food and drink for our school lunches. The lunches will be prepared by our school contractors, who will not be granted a tender unless they make a commitment to provide healthy food. A basic requirement will be that they provide a vegetarian option each day, that they always serve vegetables and fruit, and that all lunches have a balanced nutritional value.
5.2 The parents of children who bring packed lunches will be made aware of our healthy-school policy, and given clear guidance about what should be included in a healthy packed lunch.
